The Future of Ice Powered Cooling Technology Has Arrived
Until now, producing high-velocity cold, dry air was only possible from plug-in AC units requiring 110V, large cooler-type products, or mini AC units, and these all bring their own challenges… being heavy, bulky, loud, and inefficient.
When you're out at the game or off-the-grid in nature, plugging something into an outlet often isn't an option.
What Exactly Does Our Product Do
The Blizzard Backpack is a patent-pending lightweight, wearable climate-control solution designed to deliver immediate relief from extreme heat. Weighing only 11 lbs, it operates as a portable air conditioning system that requires zero chemical refrigerants to function.
Key Product Features
Reusable Ice-Powered Technology
It utilizes a fully reusable ice power system to blast out cold, dry air like that of your home or car AC unit, yet without the use of refrigerants or chemicals.
Ultra-Quiet Performance
Engineered for discretion, the system runs quietly at a sound level under 50 decibels, making it a sideline saver at sporting events where a loud device would not be permitted.
Outstanding Versatility
It features built-in versatility, allowing users to wear it comfortably as a backpack, set it up on a height-adjustable tripod stand, hang it from a seat, or lay it flat on the ground to target specific areas.
The Blizzard Backpack delivers cold, dry air comparable to that of a small wall-unit AC without the use of refrigerants or chemicals of any kind, making it a green and eco-friendly personal cooling system. The Blizzard weighs only 11 lbs. yet produces cold, dry air that is over 40 degrees colder than the outside air temperature and maintains indoor AC temperature output (in the 70s) over a 3–4 hour cooling cycle. The ice core may be changed out for an additional 4 hours with each core. Keeping a spare in a small cooler would provide enough cooling for a full 8 hour day.
There is no need to buy multiple bags of ice with each use. One small component (approximately 5" × 9"), the Arctic Ice Core, is refrozen after each use to recharge its cooling power. One 12V lithium-ion battery is also recharged after each use and lasts 9–11 hours per charge.
The Technology Behind the Chill
The system relies on a continuous, advanced heat transfer loop to drop ambient air temperatures instantly without relying on chemical refrigerants.
The 4-Step Cooling Process
Hot Air Intake
When activated, hot ambient air (e.g., 99∘F) is drawn directly into the system through the air intake hole in the front of the backpack.
Thermal Exchange
This hot air passes through the patent-pending Arctic Ice Core heat exchanger, dropping the air temperature by approximately 40∘F (Providing ~60∘ output air in the e.g.) via advanced heat transfer technology.
Delivery of Cold Dry Air
The Arctic Ice Core powers cooling as it melts over the next 3–4 hours, delivering cool air at approximately 79°F about 4 hours later in the day. Once it reaches this point, the core may be swapped out for another core to provide an additional 3–4 hours of cooling. Keeping a few Ice Cores in a cooler may easily provide a full day’s worth of cooling.
Precision Control
Users can customize and manage the intensity of the airflow using an integrated air diverter and the included remote control.
The Blizzard lowers the temperature of the outside ambient air by 20-40° over a 3–4-hour cooling cycle. It starts with a refreshing ~40° drop when first turned on, then maintains indoor AC temperature output (in the 70s) over the next 3-4 hours as the arctic ice core melts. Engineered for Extreme Environments
Complete Cooling System
It’s a full system stored in one backpack-size bag, including an overhead shade, tripod stand, remote control, and wheels for easy transport for those who prefer to roll it instead of wearing it as a backpack.
Multi-Modal Utility
Includes a sturdy, extendable handle alongside all-terrain removable wheels, letting you seamlessly switch from a backpack configuration to an easy-rolling transport system.
Targeted Vascular Cooling
An included adjustable tripod sets the jet at the optimal height for Targeted Vascular Cooling. It delivers a powerful jet of cold, dry air to the back of the neck, where there is a high concentration of blood flow located close to the skin’s surface, creating an amplified cooling effect throughout the body through “Targeted Vascular Cooling.”
